Messi has been involved in 42 of Barça's 80 LaLiga goals this season
The Argentine captain has managed to notch over 20 goals and 20 assists for the first time this campaign
Leo Messi continues to make history at FC Barcelona. With his pass to Arturo Vidal in the last match against Valladolid, the Barça captain reached 20 assists in the competition. Added to his 22 league goals, it's the first time Messi has hit 20 goals and 20 assists in a single LaLiga season. In fact, the Argentine has been involved in 42 of Barça's 80 LaLiga goals.
This means he's played a role in 52.5% of Barcelona's goals in LaLiga. His 42 goal contributions are more than what 48 other top flight European sides have managed.
Messi never stops breaking new ground. He's the team's top scorer with 22 goals and he's also top of the assists charts with 20.

Bartomeu has no doubt Leo Messi will stay at Barca
Messi is also on the verge of winning his seventh Pichichi trophy. No player, since the 1928/29 season, has amassed seven top scorer awards. He would move ahead of Telmo Zarra (Athletic) who got six.
