Memphis registered despite La Liga 'quarantine' for registrations
Barcelona claimed to have registered the duo earlier but they hadn't even filed the papers yet
Memphis Depay is officially registered and can play for Barcelona on Sunday against Real Sociedad.
La Liga had published a statement saying Memphis and Eric Garcia had not yet been officially registered with the league despite what Barcelona said earlier on Saturday.
The league said the club filed the paperwork later on in the day and it was then being checked.
"The documentation on these registrations had not been sent by FC Barcelona at the time of its public communication, but later in the afternoon of today, after La Liga notified the club of this fact," said La Liga.
"The documentation is being reviewed by the La Liga Economic Control and Competitions teams to verify that it complies with the required regulations."
However, shortly the league did confirm Memphis. At the time of writing, Eric Garcia's registration has not been confirmed.
