The German goalkeeper may well not be able to start the next season

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will have an operation on Tuesday to fix a problem with a tendon in his right knee, the club announced on Monday, shortly after sacking Quique Setien.

He will have the operation under Doctor Cugat’s guidance and try to get back as soon as possible, although he is unlikely to be able to start the season and it could be an absence of three to four months.

It has been quite some day for Barcelona, with the board meeting to decide Setien's future and discuss the hiring of Ronald Koeman, Arthur's drink driving accusation and the elections being brought forward.
