Marc-Andre ter Stegen hails Barca coach Ernesto Valverde

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of the biggest protagonists for this Barcelona side, who have let in just seven goals in the league all season. He's been a wall between the sticks, although he credits Ernesto Valverde, the coach.

"As well as being a family in the dressing room, the coach has done good work. He saw from outside, when with Athletic as an opponent, and knew that he could make it better. This vision has suited us well, we're really good defensivley and we need to keep doing that all season to stay on top," said Ter Stegen to El Pais.

"I love being a Barcelona goalkeeper. It's not that I'm taking less risks now, but just calculating them better."

"With football I never get nervous. I've never been so nervous as the day of my wedding. I knew she was coming.... but I dont know what happened to me!"

Ter Stegen says he gets on well with Jasper Cillessen, the second choice goalkeeper. "I'm sure Jasper doesn't like the situation, but I have to say that I'm grateful for how he's treating the subject and how he treats me, it's a relationship with a lot of respect. Nice one. When he plays he does very well, it's calming to have a goalkeeper like him."
