Barça's No.10 spoke at Marca's award ceremony on Monday

Lionel Messi was the star of Marca's awards on Monday as he won the Alfredo Di Stefano Trophy for being the best player in LaLiga last season and the Pichichi for finishing the campaign as the top goalscorer.

Asked which goal of his 34 he liked best, he said: "I don't know. To tell you the truth, I don't remember them now, I would have to think about it. But I prefer the important goals which mean something to the ones which are more aesthetically pleasing."

Messi, on the competitiveness of La Liga this season added that "it's good that the league is more competitive than ever. There are no easy games. Anyone can beat anyone and that's good for the spectators. I hope it stays like this."

THE INJURY

The Argentine also spoke about how he felt after returning from injury to face Real Betis on Sunday -- scoring two in a surprise 4-3 loss.

"I felt good on the pitch," he said added. "At the beginning, I was a little afraid that I could have a relapse of the injury, but I didn't. I'm feeling better all the time. I was desperate to get back out there."

Messi, despite being keen to return to action, did enjoy watching Barça's games with his son Thiago at Camp Nou. It was a unique experience.

He explained: "I love watching games with him. I was surprised because he understands so many facets of the game and it's the first time I've been able to share something like that with him."
