The Argentine and the Catalan will express themselves in public for the first time since Anfield capitulation

Lionel Messi will break his silence on Friday. The Argentine has not spoken publicly since Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool, but will be one of the players to speak at a press conference on Friday ahead of the Copa del Rey final. Messi and Gerard Pique will speak alongside coach Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona’s training ground.

This will be the first chance to get Messi’s thoughts on the elimination at Anfield and there is plenty of interest in the media conference.

The Argnetine star has not spoken at a presss conference with Barcelona since May 2015 when he did so before the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

Pique has spoken many times but since the 4-0 Anfield beating he has not in public either - or on social media.
