Leo Messi overtakes Cristiano Ronaldo in Liga hat-tricks
With a treble against Mallorca, Messi moved top of the rankings
Leo Messi became the player to score the most hat-tricks in La Liga with his treble in Barca's 5-2 demolition of Mallorca. He has a total of 35, which is one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo's 34.
Messi has scored 47 hat-tricks for Barca in all competitions. Ronaldo has 46 at club level, 44 of those for Real Madrid, one for Man United and one for Juventus.
However with Portugal he has nine and Messi six with Argentina, putting the Juve forward ahead by one.
