Laporta's advisor Masip: "We have done nothing wrong, we are innocent"
The former Barça handball player spoke about the Negreira case on Tuesday
Enric Masip has spoken out on Tuesday about the Negreira case. He did so at the Barcelona golf club, in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, where the traditional golf and paddle tennis tournament between former Barça and Real Madrid players is being held ahead of Sunday's clásico. The adviser to Barça president Joan Laporta defended "the honour" of the club and warned that "we are going to defend ourselves until the last consequences."

He said: "Barça have done nothing wrong and have never benefited from anyone to win anything. We have never done anything wrong to win a title or a match. Barça will defend themselves and the club's honour at all times through the president and the board of directors -- up until the last consequences."
Furthermore, Masip commented that "Barça have more than 120 years of history and have won trophies with the quality of our players, we are a model club in everything, not only in football. I have not needed anyone's help. We are innocent and we do not fear any sanctions."
Masip went on to explain that "they are all here, as the president has said" after Real Madrid joined the complaint. And he also added that "now it's good to beat Barça because we are leading." On Laporta, he said that "the president is strong".
San Mamés
On the hostility with which Athletic fans at San Mamés received Barça, he didn't mince his words: "Basque society has always been an example for Spanish society. It's a shame that Barça have to put up with that because of the media circus that has been set up."
