At 15 years of age, Lamine Yamal is living a dream after his first call-up to the FC Barcelona first team. The Juvenil A (U19s) forward sat on the bench for the first time at Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday against Atlético de Madrid and a few hours later he celebrated with his family, as the photo published by the Twitter account 'FCB World' shows.

The academy player was one of the main protagonists of last weekend, being included for the first time in a first-team squad. In the end, Xavi Hernández, the Barça coach, did not consider it necessary to give him his first minutes, though.

Had he done so, Lamine Yamal would have become the youngest player ever to make his debut for Barcelona, surpassing the record held by Vicenç Martínez, who made his debut in the late 1940s at the age of 16 years, 9 months and 5 days.

The Blaugrana have high hopes for the young striker from La Masia. Xavi said ahead of the game against Atletico that Lamine Yamal "has personality, talent, the final pass pass, is good one on one, he is strong, he has a great attitude and has trained well this week... he can mark an important era at the club."
