Juventus enter the bidding for Barça defender Clement Lenglet

The Italian club, who missed out on Franck Kessié, have now made enquiries for the Frenchman

Juventus have entered the bidding to sign Clement Lenglet and have reportedly enquired about the player's situation as per Jijantes. The Italian club, who have good relations with Barça, have not made an offer yet but could try to do so if Barça and Tottenham fail to reach an agreement.

The Blaugrana club are still demanding 15 million euros for the Frenchman but it will not be easily met given that his wages are also high.

Lenglet, who has not played during pre-season, hopes his situation will be resolved this week. Tottenham arrive at the Gamper intending to close the negotiation and the Frenchman already has a verbal agreement with the Londoners for the next three seasons.

Juventus would propose a loan with an option to buy, just as they intended for Kessié.

For Barça, the departure of Lenglet is key, as this will help them balance their wage bills and alter the cap. After contract deferrals, Lenglet has become one of the highest-paid players in the squad, so more than the transfer fees, the club want to save on his wages.
