Barcelona's sporting director spoke to reporters at an event on Wednesday

Barcelona sporting director Jordi Cruyff spoke about a range of subjects at the inauguration of the new Cruyff Court in Montornes on Wednesday.

From Bayern Munich's win on Tuesday to Gavi's renewal and Antoine Griezmann's situation, here's what Cruyff had to say:

On Bayern defeat: "It was a game to see where we are and the team was up to it, but against these teams, if you make the smallest error, you lose. If you get it right, you get the three points. But the team showed they are on the right track."

Character in Munich: "The team showed personality, [a good] mentality, hunger and desire to win. You could see that the whole time."

Demands at Barça: "There will always be demands here, every season. It's a big club, the team is good and they competed well. Football has become very result-based but we have a project here and we need time. The coach is happy with the squad hee has. We are optimistic."

Gavi renews: "It is an important renewal. We always had confidence. His dream is to play for Barça, we were never worried. For the club, it's always good that such a young player wants to link his future to Barça. When planning, we always thought Gavi would be with us."

Griezmann situation: "At the moment he is an Atletico player. It's his coach who decides when he plays. It's curious he always comes on in the 63rd minute."
