Jean-Clair Todibo: I loved Xavi and I want to live up to his shirt
The French centre-back has taken the No 6 which was formerly Xavi Hernandez's shirt
New Barca signing Jean-Clair Todibo has been given the No 6 shirt worn by Xavi Hernandez and he knows its importance.
"Xavi is a player I always admired from a very young age," explained Todibo on his presentation for Barca.
"I am fully aware what it means to wear the No 6 and I hope I can live up to the expectations that the shirt carries with it.”
Todibo said he was “very happy to be here” in Catalan.
“It’s a dream for me, I am very proud for myself and my family that I am here today,” said the centre-back born in Guyana.
“My objective now is to learn. These weeks I want to grow, meet my team-mates, the club, integrate myself bit by bit.
“Samuel (Umtiti) is a world champion and I will take a lot of advice from him (and Lenglet).”
