If Barça seal La Liga on Saturday there will be a huge celebration

The players will wear a special shirt and will do a lap of honour with Rubiales handing them the trophy

Effectively, this is how it will be. A great day... as long as Barcelona get the result which allows them to win La Liga against Levante. Another one. League title number 26 and the eighth in the last 11 years.

That's no small feat. It's a statistic which confirms the authority Barça have had over the rest of Spain. Without doubt, they are the best side of the 21st century.

Although things still have to be wrapped up. It will be sooner than later. Surely on Saturday. Everything is prepared if that is the case and that's what the coaching staff and the players want.

Win... and Champions League

Given that Atletico Madrid have not slipped up (unless they do on Saturday afternoon against Real Valladolid at the Wanda), Barça have had no option but to keep depending on themselves.

The objective is now to beat Levante, enjoy La Liga for a few hours... and then focus exclusively on the Champions League and, when it comes around, the final of the Copa del Rey.

Once La Liga is won, all eyes will be on beating Liverpool in the European semifinal. Training and the plans for upcoming La Liga games will all be based on that.

If Barça beat Levante on Saturday (20.45h CET), immediately after there will be a big party at Camp Nou to celebrate more history.

Special shirt

History because, as we explained, it will be the eighth league title in 11 years. Brutal. For that reason, the first thing Valverde's players will do will be to put on shirts with the following written in Catalan: "“8 d’11, l’extraordinari és que sembli normal” (The extraordinary thing is that it seems normal).

Following that, the RFEF chief Luis Rubiales will head down on to the pitch to present Barça captain Lionel Messi with the league trophy.

There were various contradictions throughout Thursday about whether or not Rubiales would attend the game. After several interventions and a call from Bartomeu, Rubiales was made to see that it made no sense to delay the party, because the first thing the players would do when they had the trophy in their hands would be a lap of honour around the Camp Nou pitch.

With that part of the party over, Camp Nou will go dark ahead of a firework display.

The players will then take the mic and share some words. Since the 2009-10 season, Barça have always won La Liga away from Camp Nou. This is the first time in nearly a decade they can win it at home.
