How much did Messi & Neymar earn for their matching wine posts?

At the Mandarin Hotel I am met by Antonio Menéndez, the friendly marketing and communication manager of Vega Sicilia, who is lining up a tasting session with his excellent wines.

I'm there to find out how much Lionel Messi and Neymar earned for uploading a photograph to Instagram with a bottle of their ‘Único’ wine. The two photos brought in four million 'likes'. Well: not even a euro. The two Barcelona players purchased the wines themselves and it caught everyone by surprise when they uploaded the photographs.  

Pablo Alvarez, the CEO of Vega Sicilia, was rubbing his hands when a good friend from Barcelona sent him the photo. It is true that Vega Sicilia does not need any advertising or propoganda. So true, in fact, that there is not even one free bottle leaves the winery and they have long waiting lists. It is the Ferràn Adrià of wines.
