Franck Kessie's time as a Barça player is about to come to an end. The midfielder, absent yesterday in the 58th Joan Gamper Trophy against Tottenham Hotspur, has not been training with the team in the last sessions with the club's permission. He is back at the camp one last time to say goodbye to the Blaugrana club, as reported by Jijantes.
He is soon to be on a flight to Saudi Arabia, where he will be announced as Al-Ahli's new player in the coming hours.
He will sign a three-season contract with a significant wage bump. He landed in the Catalan capital last season as a free agent from AC Milan, and the Blaugrana club will earn between 10 and 15 million euros, all of which is net gain.
Kessie is the ninth player to leave the club this summer, after Busquets, Jordi Alba, Umtiti, Collado, Nico and the loan of Julian Araujo, Pablo Torre and Chadi Riad. Dest, Lenglet and Dembélé will surely join them, pending unexpected events. Thus, the Ivorian puts an end to his time at Culé, with a balance of 1,797 minutes in 43 games, in which he scored three goals and made three assists.
