Fermín López suspended vs. Real Betis due to red card with Barça Atletic
The midfielder joined the reserve team for minutes and ended up getting sent off
Barcelona midfielder Fermín López will not be able to play against Real Betis this weekend.
Fermín was sent off against Nàstic on Sunday while playing for Barça Atlètic and will have to serve a one-game ban.
We already revealed on SPORT that the club had consulted the RFEF. The response has been negative.
The regulations were ambiguous and the club wanted to be certain after what happened a few years ago with 'Chumi' in the Copa del Rey against Levante after being sent off with the reserve team.
However, after consulting, Barça now know that Fermín is not available for either team this weekend.
