Ez Abde's potential return is looking less and less likely
Abde's future at Barça is far from clear. His continuity or departure from the club will be decided in the next few days, but everything points to the possibility of the latter. The player does not want to return to not have minutes, while the Blaugrana club are willing to listen to transfer offers for him and there are several teams in Spain, Premier and Bundesliga that want him.
In the planning meeting held by the Barça leadership, the short-term return of Abde was certain. In fact, the Blaugrana have already communicated to him that he must return for the preseason although he is being spoken openly about as a departure. And the green light will be given because Xavi Hernandez is also not sure if he can be a regular in the Barça first team.
The player and his entourage did not like the way Barça have behaved since Xavi's arrival at the club. He disappeared completely from the first team, when under Koeman he was a starter, and in the summer he was forced to leave on loan, accepting an offer from Osasuna. In Pamplona he has felt important and they believe that returning to the same coach who did not bet on him would be a risk to his career.
Barça will bring him back if they have no margin to sign players, but the idea is to listen to offers and end up signing Yannick Carrasco in his place. The problem could be that the player wants to choose his destination and perhaps take on a new loan, something Barça cannot allow. If he leaves, he must be transferred and, if possible, with an option to buy him back. And there are offers of this type at the club.
