The coach knows Barcelona have played badly but he is confident ahead of Tottenham clash

Ernesto Valverde spoke to the media at Wembley ahead of Barcelona's Champions League clash with Tottenham on Wednesday.

"We've had problems with results, anyone can do their own analysis, and we want to improve each day. When you don't get results it's for a reason, that's how football is. We've had a tough week in terms of results but tomorrow I'm convinced we will have a great game," said Valverde.

"Without doubt (Wembley) is the best place (to vindicate ourselves), and we are conscious that we find it hard away from home, we're prepared for that."

Barcelona will have to stop Spurs striker Harry Kane, who hit two at Huddersfield on the weekend after a spell out of form.

“We know he’s a decisive player,” said Valverde of the Tottenham striker. “We cannot compare (his) last year and this year, what we know is his quality.

“We expect his best tomorrow and we must try to stop him.”
