Ernesto Valverde continues to offer Carles Aleñá his full support

Barcelona haven't left Carles Aleña behind as they prepare for the upcoming season. The young midfielder suffered a ruptured tendon in his right hamstring in a match against Real Zaragoza at the beginning of January. Up and down the club, everyone has told Aleña to remain calm, including Ernesto Valverde. The first team coach spoke with him to wish him well and, above all, asked him to be patient and only focus on getting back to being 100% and not to rush his recovery.

In fact, the plans for next season remain the same: Aleña will be part of the first team when he's fit and ready. Once he's recovered it'll be the moment to decide what's the best way to ease him back into the club's plans. Aleña is, for all intents and purposes, a project at the club and that's the message which has always been expressed to him from various sources at Barcelona. Pep Segura has been a huge supporter of Aleña's and believes he has a huge future at the Camp Nou.
