Eric Abidal holds his first meeting with Ernesto Valverde
The two men were joined by Pep Segura and Ramon Planes to talk about the plans for the squad ahead of next season
The Joan Gamper Ciudad Deportiva hosted the first meeting between new Sporting Director, Eric Abidal, and Barcelona's first team coach, Ernesto Valverde.
They were joined by Managing Director Pep Segura and Abidal's right hand man, Ramon Planes.
Taking advantage of Valverde's summer break, the four met at the Cuidad Deportiva's offices to discuss the plan going forward as they look to finalise targets for next season's squad.
Abidal was presented last Tuesday as the new Sporting Director at Barcelona, alongside Ramon Planes, and the two will work together in the role.
The first team will return to training on the 11th July and on the 24th will begin their North American preseason tour. While in the US they will face Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma and AC Milan.
