Day 79: The 'like' from Ousmane Dembele which will excite Barça fans
Barça hope to tie up a deal for the French forward in the coming days
The player has liked a tweet which may be seen as a sign of progress
William is a young Frenchman, aged just 19, who lives in the Paris region and is a Barcelona fan. In addition, he’s extremely active on social media. On Twitter, for example, he has more than 30,000 tweets since he created an account five years ago.
On June 4 he had an idea. Each day he would post a message in reference to Ousmane Dembele until the Borussia Dortmund player moved to Barcelona. The message is simple: “@Dembouz jour (day) 1,” “@Dembouz jour 2,” and so on. On Tuesday he got a surprise. As is usual, William wrote his message: “@Dembouz jour 79.” But this time, Dembele, from his official account, hit the ‘like’ button.
“My desire is for Dembele to come to Barcelona and one night I had that idea. The next morning I posted the first message. It seemed like a good way to convince him to sign for Barça,” William explained to SPORT.
A simple ‘like’ from the Dortmund and France player surprised William and, without doubt, is a clear sign of Dembele’s intentions this summer.
