The Brazilian defender helped Juve put one foot in the Champions League semi-finals
He has become a key player for The Old Lady in his first season in Italy
Dani Alves has spoken to ABC about why he left Barcelona. He said that during his last three years at the club he felt like in the air there were always rumours about a departure. “The directors never said anything to my face,” he said. “They didn’t have respect for me. They only offered to renew my deal when FIFA punished Barcelona. That’s when I entered the ‘play’ and signed a deal with a clause that allowed me to leave for free.”
Alves did not hold back, saying “the Barcelona directors were fake and ungrateful to me” and “those in charge of Barcelona have no idea how to treat footballers”.
