His former coach says he has the quality to triumph at Barca but is hard to understand

Ousmane Dembele’s former Stade Rennes coach Rolland Curbs has told Barca Inside that his former charge is sometimes “incomprehensible’ in character.

Courbis coached Dembele at Rennes between January and June 2016. “I would be tempted to say he's a bit inaccessible, even incomprehensible,” said the French coach, when asked about Dembele.

On Dembele’s position, he added that “I set up to put him in what i think is his best position, the nine and a half. Something like Mbappe in Monaco with Falcao, although at Rennes he didn’t have Luis Suarez, Messi or Iniesta there.”

Courbis added: “He has the quality to triumph, but consistency…

“He came from a serious injury but I hope he stays fit from now until the end of the season, that way he can go to the World Cup and the season would serve for something. The only good thing about the injury is that he can be fit for the World Cup.”
