Confidential: Why did Luis Enrique say what he said?

The Barça boss made some strong comments in his post game interview

He did so with the objective of forcing a reaction from his players

Luis Enrique reaced in a strong manner after Barcelona lost to Juventus -- he's never been seen so angry or so pessimistic.

Speaking to TV3's Jordi Grau, he said: "It's sad and it's serious," in reference to the team's nightmare first half, which he labelled as "the third half from Paris." 

SPORT have learned that his words were not improvised and had an an aim: to force a reaction from his team. 

The Barça boss wanted to make his players angry, to see if they are capable of waking up from the lethargy which has entered this week, when they've conceded five goals and scored none, despite playing with the MSN in Malaga and Turin. 

Luis Enrique is convinced it's his last card to provoke a reaction from his players. 

On Saturday the host Real Sociedad and we will see if Lucho's 'therapy' has had the desired affect.
