The centre-back will join the club on loan until the summer
The arrival of a new centre-back at Barcelona is imminent. The club had hopes to sign Chelsea's Danish defender Christensen, but in the end have ended up with Valencia's Jeison Murillo, the alternative option.
Talks have gone well between Barça and Valencia and Murillo has now said goodbye to his teammates ahead of a six-month loan move to Camp Nou.
Valencia are keen to let the defender leave -- he's made just three appearances -- and Barça now have everything in place to push the deal through.
Murillo, 26, could arrive in the city as soon as Thursday. Everything is in place for him to undergo his medical ahead of completing his move to Barça.
