Clement Lenglet's big defensive error nearly costs Barca

The Frenchman has had a season plagued with mistakes and made another against Valencia

Clement Lenglet was caught out again as Barcelona conceded the opener against Valencia. The French defender let Gabriel Paulista race away from him and head in to break the deadlock after 50 minutes.

It’s true the team, collectively, defended badly. Marc-Andre ter Stegen tried to claim for a foul by Thierry Correia, who didn’t let him jump and reach the ball, he said.

But most crucially, Lenglet was left in the dust by Gabriel who headed into the empty goal.

He’s had a calamitous season to tell the truth, costing the team against Real Madrid and Cadiz in La Liga, and also against PSG in the Champions League, among other occasions…
