Bojan Krkic signs for Mainz 05
The Stoke City player has joined the German club on loan until the summer
Former Barcelona player Bojan Krkic has signed for German side Mainz 05.
The Spanish forward joins the club on loan until the end of the season from Stoke City, where he'd not been given many chances of late. Mainz 05 are 11th in the Bundesliga and are coached by Martin Schmidt.
Bojan, 26, began his career at Barça and has played in the Spanish, Italian, Dutch and English leagues. He will not add Germany to that list. Since Barça he has played for Roma, Milan, Ajax and Stoke.
The player was at the German side's training ground on Saturday to undergo a medical and was presented on Sunday.
Mainz play on Sunday afternoon against Borussi Dortmund, so he will have the chance to see another former Barça player in Marc Bartra.
