Bartomeu to speak at De Jong's presentation after Mestre's resignation
The president will appear in the press conference at around 19.45 local time
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu will be in charge of presenting one of the club's star signings, Frenkie de Jong.
Friday's presentation was set to be carried out by ex-vice president Jordi Mestre, but following his resignation, the plans have changed.
Bartomeu has taken over Mestre's role and will show his face at De Jong's unveiling. He will talk about what has happened among the board this week and clear up things moving forward.
The president has had to deal with a mini-crisis following Mestre's decision to quit due to differences with other members of the board. Some want general manager Pep Segura out, but Mestre backed him.
Bartomeu met with Segura on Thursday to look at the situation. Over the coming days, he will decide whether Segura has a future at Camp Nou and reflect on the current setup.
