The Barca president welcomes new signing Mina to Camp Nou

There was a large number of Colombians present for his introduction

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu welcomed new signing Yerry Mina to Camp Nou on Saturday in the Espai Roma. 

"We have followed his progress for a while," Bartomeu explained. "We planned to sign him this summer, but we have brought the move forward a few months.

"It's a big step for him, a young player with a lot of talent and a long road ahead of him, which we hope is here with us." 

Bartomeu also played on the fact Mina is Colombian. Over 8,000 people came to his presentation, many Colombians living in Catalonia. 

"He is the first Colombian to play for the first team and he should be produ about that, as should his country," Bartomeu added.

"We're going to try and turn Colombian Blaugrana. Hopefully Barça's successess will also be a reason for pride in Colombia."
