The Catalans will save 10m in payments to the player and get 8 million in other ways
Barcelona and Sevilla have agreed a deal for Ivan Rakitic. The Croatian midfielder doesn't want to negotiate with other sides as he plans to head back to Andalusia.
The club have decided to let him go for free but they will make money on the deal through variables. They don't have to pay off Rakitic his last 10m euros which is a saving and then they could get up to 8m euros more through these variables - if Sevilla qualify for the Europa League of the Champions League in the coming two years there will be payments due to Barcelona.
