Munir is thriving with Alaves in Vitoria and Barca want to renew his deal
Since Pitu Abelardo, the former Barca man, arrived on the Alaves bench they have gone from bottom of the table to safe, with four weeks to go. With his arrival the game of Munir El Haddadi has developed and improved too.
The Spanish-Moroccan forward is a key player in the team, on loan from Barcelona, where he has a contract until June 2019. He is working well with Guidetti, Ibai Gomez, Pedraza and Co, and that is reflected in his goals and status at the club. He was decent on loan at Valencia last season but at Alaves he has taken another step forward.
Munir struck twice to help send Las Palmas down on Sunday in a 4-0 win in Gran Canaria. He has 13 goals this season with Alaves, and when he scores, his team never lose - nine wins, four draws.
Barcelona are paying close attention to his development and they want to renew his deal for another season so they have more time - and if they sell him can get a larger fee.
