The midfielder is on Barça's radar but a deal may not be possible on Tuesday

Sofyan Amrabat, the Moroccan midfielder playing for Fiorentina, has reached an agreement with Barcelona to join the club this month but the most complicated part of the operation is missing: Barça and Fiorentina reaching an agreement.

Barça have already submitted a first offer to the Italian club for the midfielder. Sky Sports revealed the amount of the operation presented by Mateu Alemany, the Catalan club's sporting director.

They have offered €4 million fixed for a loan for the remainder of the season plus a fee of €36m at the end of the campaign. This fee would not mean a compulsory purchase by Barcelona, but rather that the Catalan club could decide in the summer whether to continue with Amrabat's services or, on the other hand, cancel the agreement with Fiorentina.

The Serie A club has rejected this first proposal, which was presented on Tuesday. Barcelona have not ruled out making a second offer to convince Fiorentina, who, in theory, are keen to keep the Moroccan midfielder at their disposal until the end of the season.

For his part, Amrabat is putting pressure on his club to accept Barça's offer by not showing up for training today. "Go for it now. The future is promised to no one," he posted on Instagram.
