Barcelona hoping to close Griezmann case for 25m euros
The French striker is on loan at Atletico Madrid, who are operating in bad faith
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are negotiating over a deal for Antonine G Riemann, according to L’Equipe and RMC Sport.
The Rojiblancos are doing what they can to avoid paying 40m euros as agreed to Barcelona, if he plays over 50 per cent of the minutes in his loan spell. So far, Atletico are using Griezmann off the bench for just 30 minute spells to avoid paying the clause.
That strategy is working so far and per information in France, the clubs are negotiating a new price.
The new numbers are said to be around 25m euros, and it could be agreed during the international break.
Griezmann, 31 years old, would have to come back to Barcelona for the last year of his deal if there is no agreement with Atletico Madrid by the end of the season.
