The club could not risk contagion at the their training facility

The coronavirus lockdown and the suspension of football in Spain caught many players in a period of recovery from injuries. That has complicated things when it's come to working from home on their rehabilitation.

One of the players affected was Ousmane Dembele, who was ruled out for six months in February after undergoing surgery on a ruptured tendon, which led to Barcelona signing Martin Braithwaite as his replacement.

Dembele has been following his recovery work at home but now, back in Barcelona, he hopes to be able to do so at the club's training ground.

For that reason, on Monday, he took a coronavirus test to see if he is carrying the virus. Unlike his teammates, who last week took the tests at the training ground, the France star was tested at home, RAC1 revealed.

The reason for that was to avoid any risks of contagion at the training ground, given the rest of the Barça squad have been back in training since Friday.

If the test comes back negative, Dembele will be allowed to the Ciutat Esportiva in the coming days to continue his recovery.

Remember that the attacker will not be able to play in La Liga again this season -- even if he makes a full recovery. He was deregistered to make room for Braithwaite.
