Barça, thrown into the group of death, find themselves with scores to settle

FC Barcelona have had no luck in the Champions League group draw. Xavi Hernandez's team have been drawn into a fearsome-looking Group C and will face Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Viktoria Pilsen.

The club will have to be very strong at home as winning away will be very tough.

FC Barcelona's record against the German champions are not good, with two wins, two draws and nine defeats across 13 encounters. The last two are particularly striking with scorecards reading 3-0 and 2-8.

To add to the spice this will be the return of Lewandowski to the Allianz Arena after a controversy-loaded transfer to Barça this summer. The Munich club did not take kindly to the Polish striker's desire to play for Barça, who are now seen as a faded force in Europe.

Against Inter Milan, FC Barcelona have six wins, three draws and one defeat across 10 matches. While the record is much more positive, the Italians are tough opponents at their home ground. They also have some world-class players such as Lautaro Martínez and Lukaku.

The last opponent is Viktoria Pilsen, who in principle should not be a challenge. Barça hold a spotless record against them with two wins in two games, back in the 2011-2012 season.
