They feel the players were unnecessarily aggressive

Sanchez clashed with Messi & Moreno with Pique

The hangover from the Catalan derby is easing as the days pass but it's still a major talking point in the Barcelona and Espanyol dressing rooms. Some of the incdidents have been resolved, such as the one involving Sergio Garcia, who for a long time has had a good relationship with players like Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets. They've talked, things have been clarified and they've left things as they are. At least in one part of the dressing room.

In other cases, however, there are still wounds in the Barca dressing room left by Gerard Lopez and Victor Sanchez. The latter, in particular, who crashed in on Lionel Messi as soon as the Argentine entered the pitch without the referee even giving a yellow card.

The dialogue between Messi and Sanchez continued and the Espanyol midfielder even put his hand to Messi's mouth to try and keep him quiet, an action which was captured on the television cameras. In the dressing room, the feel Sanchez's attitude against Barça was visceral when he spent five years at the club earlier in his career.

The feeling in the Barça dressing room against Sanchez is unanimous in the same way that they did not like anything about Gerard Moreno's challenge on Pique, which provoked an injury. Ernesto Valverde had already made his three substitutes, though. They were moments which happened on the pitch but have remained in the players' minds ever since.
