Alemany hopes to close a deal for a midfielder who will add goals and creativity
Barcelona are very close to signing Ilkay Gundogan for the next three seasons. The Blaugrana have received the player's OK and on Wednesday the director of football, Mateu Alemany, travelled to Munich to try to finalise the final details of the deal with the player and his camp, as revealed by Jijantes.
There is optimism, although the club highlights that not everything is completely closed.
Gundogan's decision has generated euphoria at the club because it was a strategic signing. And Barça have been working very hard for him for months, positioning themselves clearly in favour of signing him. Barça's attitude has been key to Gundogan's decision to go for their offer.
Alemany's mission in Germany is to finalise the final details of a contract that is almost agreed upon entirely. Barça started by offering two seasons plus one, but in the end it will be three fixed seasons to convince the player.
Gundogan has already closed his participation with the German national team and wants to finalise his future before the holidays.

Barça have also given Gundogan full guarantees that he can be registered as soon as the contract is signed, so he will be able to start the pre-season as a Blaugrana player.
