Pique had to be taken off at half-time of the Europa League game in Germany

Barcelona lost Gerard Pique to an adductor injury after just 23 minutes of Thursday's 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.

Pique asked to come off midway through the first half, with Clement Lenglet taking his place to leave Barça with a back four of Ronald Araujo, Eric Garcia, Lenglet and Jordi Alba.

Barça were already without a recognised right-back due to the absences of Dani Alves (not registered) and Sergiño Dest (injured).

"Pique has left adductor discomfort," Barça confirmed in a statement later on Thursday. "Further tests pending to determine the exact extent of the injury."
