Barça defender Araujo: I am a much more mature player now

The Uruguay centre-back returned to training this week after the Copa America

Ronald Araujo is one of 25 players on tour with Barcelona in Germany. He's been the first player to speak to the club's media about the stay in Baden-Württemberg.

"Today's the first day here and the climate's good because it's not as hot and you can train well," the defender said. "It's good to be together for a new season and to work hard for what's to come. I'm happy to be back. We're integrating slowly.

"Some players have been able to rest a little more so it's about a lot of individual work because we've all had different summers.

"A few days off are always good, mentally and physically. I've been working a lot on the injury I had last season. Hopefully I can avoid those injuries this season, if God wants."

Araujo added: "Last season was a great season (personally), I played a lot of games and the truth is I am really happy with how I did.

"It was a learning curve and I gained a lot of experience. I am much more mature now and, if God wants, we can win big things this season. I have more experience in all senses."
