Barca convinced they can sell Sergino Dest

Sergiño Dest will not remain at Barça, but his future is a true unknown. The player and his entourage know absolutely nothing about a contract termination so are not contemplating it and they are waiting for a financial and sporting proposal that might be of interest in the last days of the market. The Blaugrana are offering the player out, but there is still nothing firm -- they believe they will be able to transfer him.

Barça have not contemplated a loan or, for now, an outright sacking because there are still a few million to be amortized from his transfer. It's not a lot, but the club understands that the right-back still has the capacity to grow and only needs to find the ideal project for him to continue competing. The transfer to Milan was a failure but there are teams interested, although Dest prioritises a project with European competition this season and that has not yet appeared.

Barça have received interest from several MLS teams interested in signing the American player. Neither Dest nor his entourage are in favour of returning to the United States and think that eventually some option will arise, especially in the Premier League. Porto also sounded out his arrival, but the issue is at a standstill. Dest will make things easier because his desire is to play somewhere else, if he cannot play for Barça.
