Alba could be back for Elche while Memphis is suffering from no rest

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez spoke on Saturday ahead of Sunday's LaLiga game in Pamplona against Osasuna.

Xavi was asked for the latest on Jordi Alba and Memphis Depay, who will both miss the trip north with hamstring injuries.

He said that Alba's issue is "nothing major" and added that Barça "hope to have him back for Elche" next weekend at Camp Nou.

As for Memphis, the coach said: "He's played every minute, in Munich, at 3-0, I had thought about making changes. We have not been able to rotate.

"Look at Memphis' numbers this season. He has played every game for Barça and also for the Dutch national team, it's been a demanding schedule."

Xavi is without seven players at Osasuna, including four forwards, which has forced him to call up B team winger Ferran Jutgla, while striker Luuk de Jong could get minutes.

"Luuk's an example professional, he's training very well," Xavi said. "He's a forward with different characteristics and he can contribute. It's one of the solutions we have in attack."
