Barça asked Emery for a reference on PSG's Adrien Rabiot

Barcelona's move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is a long way down the line. There could be news in January, when he moved into the final six months of his contract, but for now it looks as though the Catalan club have the Frenchman tied down.
Barça have taken care of all the details of an opetation which comes with some element of risk. For that reason, they have consulted a number of people about the player. In this respect, Diario AS have revealed that one of the people whose opinion they sought is Arsenal boss Unai Emery, who previously coached PSG between 2016 and 2018, working with Rabiot.
It was Barça's sporting director Eric Abidal who asked the Basque coach about Rabiot's character and his relationship with his teammates and the coaches. The reports were good. Emery spoke highly of the midfielder and confirmed that, as they already know at Camp Nou, he prefers to play as an interior, not a pivote.
