Andres Iniesta celebrates his 12 year anniversary of his Barcelona debut

October 29, 2002 is a date that Andres Iniesta will never forget - he made his debut with FC Barcelona's first team. It was a tight 1-0 win against Bruges in the Champions League.

He did not highlight in it exactly how influential he was going to be over the next 12 years, but went on to fulfil his dream.

He is one of the leading players in world football, has gained the respect of peers and sports fans and won countless trophies, including six La Ligas, three Champions Leagues, two Copa del Reys, the World Cup and two European Championships.

His intelligent and intuitive game helped the Barcelona team of the late 00s become recognised as the greatest team in history.

Iniesta tweeted: "Today, 12 years ago I made my debut with the club. It's been a pride and a dream! I want to give thanks to everyone in these good moments and those that are not as good, for having believed, believing and trusting in me."
