Aleix Vidal is one step closer to rejoining Sevilla this summer
Joaquin Correa, the man he is replacing, will head to Italy in order to finalise his move to Lazio
One of the first players to leave Barcelona this summer is Aleix Vidal. The footballer hasn't been able to return to Spain from the US yet because he's waiting for Sevilla to finalise the transfer. There is a pre-agreement in place between all parties but Sevilla can't sign off the deal until they've officially sold Joaquin Correa to Lazio. The Argentinian has travelled to Italy today in order to sign for Lazio. If everything goes well, Aleix will become a Sevilla player again in the next few days.
Barça and Sevilla have tried to push forward the deal for Vidal but the footballer won't be released from the club's US base, like Lucas Digne was, due to fact no documents have been signed. Sevilla insist they need to sell Correa first in order to balance the books.
At this moment in time everyone is waiting for Correa to sign for Lazio. Aleix will then become a Sevilla player and he'll leave his teammates in the US to complete the relevant medical checks.
