Marca: Marcos Alonso accepts offer from Atletico Madrid
The Spanish defender feels his time in England is up and is ready to return to Spain
More movement in the offices at the Wanda Metropolitano. Coach Diego Siimeone must reconstruct his squasd this summer with so many players leaving Atletico Madrid.
Marca have reported that one of the players who could come in is Marcos Alonso, who has told Atletico 'yes' to their offer.
The Chelsea left-back, 28, feels his time in England is up and is ready to return to Spain and make a point in La Liiga.-
Atletico contacted him months ago but despite the player's disposition to come, Chelsea are holding out for a big fee, not least because of a possible transfer ban.
Alonso has been out of the Chelsea team in recent weeks and was a substitute in the Europa League final. He is ready for leave and wants to return to his native Madrid.
With the player convinced, Atletico must find a price with Chelsea as the look to strengthen at left-back following the loss of Luis Hernandez and, in all probability, Filipe Luis.
Chelsea singed Alonso three years ago for 23 million euros and renewed his deal in 2018. They won't make it easy for Atletico. His terms run until 2023.
